Over 50 people from Port Gardner and other nearby neighborhoods gathered last night at the south end of Bond Street to protest the fence erected by BNSF Railway across the tracks. The fence blocks access to the trail leading to Pigeon Creek Beach, and was erected by the railroad without any public input.

To keep this discussion going between residents, the city, and BNSF, some residents will be attending this week’s City Council meeting on Wednesday night. If you’d like to join us, the meeting begins at 6:30 PM in City Council Chambers at 3002 Wetmore Avenue.
