• Tonight: Public Hearing on Everett Transit’s Proposed 25-Cent Fare Increase

    When: 6:30 PM, Wednesday October 3rd
    Where: City Council Chambers, 3002 Wetmore Ave.
    What: The Everett City Council will have a public hearing to discuss a proposed fare increase of 25 cents for Everett Transit fixed-route services. The proposed fare change would begin January 2013. The public hearing will be part of the regular city council meeting.

    If you miss tonight’s meeting, Everett Transit will also hold two public meetings on the fare change proposal to answer questions and gather input:

    • Thursday October 11th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM – Dan Snow Room in the second floor of the Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave.
    • Wednesday October 24th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM – Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way.

    City Council is expected to make a decision on the proposal in late October or early November. For more information on the proposal, contact Everett Transit at 425-257-7777 or www.EverettTransit.org.
