Here’s a friendly reminder from Everett Police Sergeant Bruce Bosman about door-to-door solicitors.

Solicitors are required to apply for a city permit to operate in Everett. Those working are required to have a permit with them. If anyone should encounter a suspicious person on your property or at your door call 911. Unfortunately there are criminals that use this type of ruse to see if anyone is home.

The only company currently permitted to conduct door to door sales is ARM Security.

Sergeant Bosman points out that according to Everett Municipal Code registered non-profits (such as the Girl Scouts) are exempt from the license requirement.

If someone representing any company other than ARM Security (the only currently-licensed business) comes to your door to solicit you, please email Sergeant Bosman.
